World Read Aloud Day — The DOE is celebrating World Read Aloud Day (WRAD) on February 3. We invite our Pre k- 2nd grade teams to make plans to read aloud on this day. For a diverse and culturally-responsive list of free resources for WRAD, including recorded read-aloud books, age-appropriate activities, and virtual visits from authors, visit LitWorld’s WRAD 2021 Best Read Aloud Day Picks and Scholastic’s World Read Aloud Day page. You may share your school community’s participation in WRAD activities on social media with the hashtag #WorldReadAloudDay and tag other school communities to do the same. Pre k-2nd grade classes please post your WRAD’s activities on Konstella and send pics to Mr. Hassan to add to our website.
