The YMCA provides free afterschool programming to PS 38 families, Monday through Friday throughout the school year, in addition to full-day programming on 13 holidays when school is closed and Summer Camp. Open to students in K through 5th grade, children engage in fun hands-on learning projects, STEM and arts experiences, and sports instruction. Regular attendance is crucial to maintain YMCA programs and services at PS 38, which are fully funded by the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD).
