Monday
Acting Through Movement with Dancewave (PreK-1) – This introductory class enables young dancers to explore their bodies through imaginative movement. Students develop social skills, raise kinesthetic awareness, and improve gross motor skills. Creative games and activities are played such as skipping, jumping, singing, rhythmic clapping and improvised movement. We will build foundations of modern vocabulary.
Music FUNdamentals with Brooklyn Music School (PreK-1) – Geared towards beginners, this group jam builds basic music skills through music games, reading and rhythm exercises, singing, and music appreciation.
Visual Art with BRIC Arts Media (PreK-1) – Students will gain hands on experience with techniques in drawing, painting and sculpture with a focus on enchanted creatures, folklore and fairy tales.
Soccer with Soccer Shots (PreK-2) – Students focus on character development through coaching, excellent communication and expert approved curriculum. Each class will focus on individual skill, fitness and sportsmanship, providing a positive environment for children to be challenged through fun games, scrimmaging and team interaction, which prepares them to play on competitive teams. Wood Shop with WoodShop Brooklyn (PreK-2) – At a WoodShop class our artists make and decorate their own toys/crafts. Each week they’ll get to create their own collections – barnyard animals and the barn or climb onboard our safari bus and create the animals of the jungle. But it’s not all animals, we’ll be keeping things festive for Halloween, Thanksgiving and the holidays too! There are no hammers, nails or weapons of mass destruction. Our tools are fingers, brushes, paint, markers, crayons and most importantly Imagination! We’re building a sense of wonder and a feeling of accomplishment.
Martial Arts with Brooklyn Martial Arts (K-2) – These fun, enriching classes help kids in many profound ways: they learn to respect themselves & others… how to defend themselves… the importance of peace & diplomacy… and so much more. This class meets 2:30-4:00; aftercare is provided until 4:30.
Animation with BRIC Arts Media (2-5) – Students will explore various types of animation. Students will create a storyboard and use claymation, stop-motion, pixelation and cut-out animation to bring their narrative to life.
Art of Science with Created by Kids (2-5) – Through weekly hands-on experiments, students will be introduced to the wonder of simple machines, chemical reactions and geological investigations. Students will participate in team activities like building a Rube Goldberg machine, growing cool crystals and studying da Vinci’s flying machines. They will follow the scientific method and will make and take home unique projects like hand- built beakers and hand-made paper.
Buckets & Beats with Brooklyn Music School (2-5) – Drumming on buckets is a fun and a great way to get started with playing in a group. For upper grades, this course is geared towards the drumset; students take turns working on buckets, drums, and practice pads.
Tuesday
Rhythmic Gymnastics with LIDO Sports **GIRLS ONLY** (PreK-K) – Rhythmic gymnastics is a competitive sport in which a female gymnast manipulates one of five pieces of apparatus in a dance routine set to music. It is a beautiful sport that combines elements of ballet, jazz, yoga, acrobatics, and performance—no dangerous tumbling or back flips here! This class meets 2:30-4:00; aftercare is provided until 4:30.
Ceramics with Created by Kids (PreK-1) – This class will explore the various ways artists use clay to create both sculptural forms and functional items. Students will learn classic hand-building techniques like pinching, coiling and slab construction that form the foundations of all hand-built pottery. The students will create a new project each week using and building on those techniques. They will take these projects home after they are fired in our kiln, giving them long-lasting mementos of their artistic pursuits.

Yoga Sprites (PreK-1) – Yoga Sprites learn through playfully interactive games, themes, stories, and visual imagery, the seeds of breath-induced stimulation, stamina & relaxation. All of these skills will manifest a present child that is slowly appreciating the whole body and mind approach to growing. Focus grows from strengthening and expansive poses that bring attention to the breath and body. This stage enables sensory regulation, mood stabilization, character development, physical exercise and connection.

Hip Hop with Dancewave (2-5) – This open level class introduces students to the foundation of Hip Hop techniques and choreography, and engages students in the social and cultural elements unique to Hip Hop. Students gain confidence, refine kinesthetic awareness, and increase musicality, phrasing, and expression within a social setting.
Singers Showcase with Brooklyn Music School (2-5) – Ready to sing your favorite modern and classic pop songs, and even compose one too! This vocal workshop takes you to the stage or to the studio, building repertoire and ensemble cooperation.

Destroy and Construct with Koko NYC (3-5) – Using screwdrivers, pliers and other tools, kids destroy discarded printers, blenders and other common electronics to get inside and see how they work. Then, using the components along with recyclables and other found materials, kids will construct new inventions or environments in the classroom. Kids learn about the inner workings of electronics (and that free art supplies are everywhere) while developing skills of innovation and invention.
Wednesday
Cooking with Ms. Millie (PreK-K) – Students will learn cooking and baking techniques. They will use science and math to explore how liquids turn into solids, how heat creates chemical changes, measurement and nutrition.
Fun with Paint with Ms. Daniela (PreK-K) – Students will be developing their fine motor skills while they learn to blend colors, paint with different materials (i.e. Q-Tips, cotton balls, spools, etc.) and in different ways. The students will create a final canvas using one of more of the techniques they learned.
Little Cub Club with Ms. Ramadani (Pre-K-K) – In this class our little animal fans will explore different amazing animals each week, learning about adaptations, diet, habitats and more!
Play Gym/Fun Everything with Ms. Boyd (PreK-K) – Unwinding after school can make a difference in homework skills and a calmer routine. Play Gym will allow kids to unwind after school and release some of that extra energy through active and cooperative play.
Bit Bots with Koko NYC (K-2) – Our teachers will help guide and encourage your child as they choose recyclables such as plastic bottles, cardboard and paper to create sculptures that, when combined with simple technologies such as littleBits or other small electronics, come to life and light up, twist, turn, buzz, blink, and shake! Through the process of designing and building, your child will experience the practical and cultural possibilities of new inventions!
Mini Scientists with Ms. Caravello (K-2) – Students will learn and use the scientific method while working cooperatively to complete various science experiments. Students will engage in hands on activities as they make predictions, observations and conclusions. Some experiments will be conducted outdoors.
Step Team Junior with Ms. Lindsey (K-2) – Stepping is a form of percussive dance in which the participant’s entire body is used as an instrument to produce complex rhythms and sounds through a mixture of footsteps, spoken word, and hand claps. This fun and active class will introduce our younger Panthers to the stepping and help them learn the core values of the art: teamwork, commitment and discipline.
Arts & Crafts: Science Edition with Ms. Essence (K-5) – Students will create arts & crafts projects that utilize basic STEM concepts. They’ll be hands-on, a little messy, and a lot of fun!
Beginner/Intermediate Tap with Ms. Chzaszcz & Ms. Hillery (1-3) – Students will learn the fundamentals of tap and participate in the Winter and Spring shows. Tap shoes are required. **If your 3rd grader has completed 3 or more sessions of tap, you may email the instructors about advanced placement – it is upon their discretion only.**
Center City with Ms. Jeanine (1-3) – Students will be able to engage in fun hands-on experiences through play. Students will build on social, fine-motor, and academic skills. Centers will include manipulatives, blocks, board games, clay, iPads, etc.
Smorgas”Board”: Board Game Cafe with Ms. Adams (1-4) – “Play is our brain’s favorite way of learning” – Diane Ackerman – Pack your favorite snacks and come enjoy an afternoon of cooperative play through BOARD GAMES!!!! Learn all about classic blast from the past board games and a few new ones as you sharpen your attention span, strategize, problem solve and partake in some good old FRIENDLY FUN!!!

Fun with STEM with Ms. Boyd (PreK-1) – Students will engage in STEM challenges, science projects and building activities using common household items. Let’s put our creative minds to work and have fun!
Legomaniacs and Block Room with Mr. Jonathan (PreK-1) – Students explore the Lego & Block Room, working collaboratively and independently to build various structures, utilizing STEM concepts and engaging in imaginative play.
Fit Kids & Yoga with Ms. Karg (PreK-4) – Kids will explore different stretching, breathing and exercise techniques to help educate them about a fit and healthy lifestyle.
Learn to Play Chess! with NY Chess & Games (K-5) – This class with introduce children to the fundamentals of chess, taught by experts from NY Chess and Games. Kids develop stronger problem solving ability, important critical thinking skills, longer attention spans and real chess skill and strategy.
Chess Club: Play for Fun with NY Chess & Games (K-5) – This class is for students who are comfortable with the fundamentals of chess and will give them a chance to play against their peers, under the watchful eye of experts from NY Chess and Games. Kids develop stronger problem solving ability, important critical thinking skills, longer attention spans and real chess skill and strategy.
Fashion Design with Ms. Essence (K-5) – Budding fashion mavens will envision and draw out their own fashion lines, learning concepts and terminology, thinking about color, texture, and more.
Math Games with Ms. Jeanine (1-3) – Students will play fun and engaging games that will strengthen their math skills.
Animation with BRIC Arts Media (2-5) – This class is so popular we’ve added a second day! Students will explore various types of animation; they will create a storyboard and use claymation, stop-motion, pixelation and cut-out animation to bring their narrative to life.
Art Explorers with Mr. Nugent (2-5) – This class provides students with an introduction to major figures and movements in the history of art. The class will then create their own artwork using techniques developed or exemplified by these great artists.
Arts & Crafts with Ms. Crowther (2-5) – Get crafty in this new class that will explore various DIY activities, explore different art mediums, and create projects.
Painting with Ms. Pao (2-5) – Students will use acrylic paints to paint on canvas and create a new piece of art each week.

Center City with Ms. Colleen (PreK-K) – Students will be able to engage in fun hands-on experiences through play. Students will build on social, fine-motor, and academic skills. Centers will include Legos, blocks, board games, clay, iPads, etc.
Board Games with Ms. Buonocore (PreK-1) – Students will enjoy time to play classic board games and build with blocks in a fun and enriching environment!
Fun Friday with Ms. Betsy (PreK-1) – Students will engage in a variety of dramatic play activities within the learning centers to represent fantasy and/or real life experiences while working on social emotional skills.
Music & Movement with Ms. Millie (PreK-1) – Students will learn about different genres of music and incorporate creative movement. This will help students with gross and fine motor skills, social emotional practices and team collaboration.

Magical Music Friday with Ms. Chzaszcz (K-4) – Students will explore musical concepts singing, dancing and playing song games from the Kodaly Method. Students will be giving many opportunities for solo singing and playing rhythm instruments. Each class will end with keyboard practice and exploration.
Animal Club with Ms. Ramadani (K-5) – Students will explore different aspects of animals’ adaptations, diet, life span, habitats and discuss ways to enhance the quality of captive care. They can choose to work independently or with friends to create projects showcasing their favorite animals!
NASA Experiments in Science & Engineering with Ms. Raffaele (1-4) – Each week students will perform experiments based on NASA’s guidelines for students. Who can figure out the best design to make your straw rocket soar?!
Architecture, Design & Building (2-5) – Students will explore all things structural in this class! They will build and create using blocks, Legos, and dominoes.
Basketball with Mr. Jonathan (2-5) – Students will learn rules and techniques of basketball through drills and open play with a focus on teamwork.
ROCK BAND with Brooklyn Music School and Mr. Jack (2-5) – Ever dream of being in a rock band? Students will explore the basic instruments in a rock band and find their best fit. They will spend their Fridays forming their bands and rehearsing for an end of session performance!
Stepping Panthers (3-5) – By audition only. Stepping is a form of percussive dance in which the participant’s entire body is used as an instrument to produce complex rhythms and sounds through a mixture of footsteps, spoken word, and hand claps. The Stepping Panthers team will have the opportunity to perform at various events throughout the year.
